The Ounilla Valley

The Ounila Valley, located in the southern High Atlas, extends for forty kilometers from the Kasbah of Telouet to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, crossing the towns of Tigoussa, Annemiter, Tizgui N’Barda, Tiguert, and Tamdakhte.

With its gorgeous adobe villages, troglodyte houses, and diverse cultures, the valley’s stunning views pass by a remarkable natural contrast.

The Ounila Valley is strongly associated with the name of the painter Majorelle, who had a special bond to the Atlas, particularly mud architecture.
