The Kasbah of Taourirt, named after the Berber village of Taourirt, has existed since the 12th century and was also the former residence of Pasha el Glaoui. It is a true architectural gem of Berber culture.
This old structure, just one kilometer from Ouarzazate, is equivalent to a giant sandcastle in terms of beauty and amazement. It is now a historical monument, recognized as National Heritage since 1953.
The Taourirt Kasbah is notable for its crenelated towers and exceptional preservation. It features a lot of ornamentation and cedarwood ceilings.
