Skoura-Ghessat

These are two rural communes located south of Ouarzazate, toward Kelaa M’Gouna. Ghassate is a town with a high biodiversity and excellent natural settings with caves. Ghassat is the location of the NOOR solar power station.

Skoura is a 25 km2 palm grove located in southern Morocco, 40 kilometers far from Ouarzazate. It is one of the few populated and cultivated palm groves in the country. There are approximately thirty thousand residents and one hundred thirty-eight thousand palm trees.
