The Ait Ouaouzguit carpet is known for the high quality of its wool, the vibrancy of its colors, and its modest size. The carpet is a Berber heritage, most specifically in the high and middle Atlas, where it flourished (under the name of tazarbit). Ait Ouaouzguit, a key center for crafts and carpets, in particular, has various production points, including Tamassin, At Semgane, Ait Ougharda, Taznakht, Ait Douchen, Znaga, and Sektana as border points. There are various cooperatives in the area.
